(1) only seems to happen for campaigns where we DO NOT pre-bank the codes. Well spotted actually.
Do we have any campaigns coming up where we don't pre-bank the codes? The best solution will take a while, but there is a much quicker "hack" solution that I can put on any campaign you need.

jFYI I'm still working on (1) but it appears to be a core bug with the next gen platform (Stoneleigh has the same bug).
I'll have to do a bit more digging but there might not be a quick fix or implementation I'm afraid :-S
I'll feed back before long.

Here's the skinny for Stoneleigh (if you alter the promo start and stop dates such that the campaign hasn't officially started yet):
[] You can enter any old code and get straight to the form :-( ...
[] ... which will put the code in inspire-flights_application_codes
[] If you hit BACK in the browser, and type in the same code again - BINGO!
So, in a nutshell, this seems to be a core Forge issue but one that *might* be salvageable

Is (1) something to do with the edit pencil "external code batch" setting?
Stoneleigh is a very similar campaing (2 step mail-in with cusotm receipt code validation) and it has a different setting than GoPro for the "external code batch".
UPDATE: altering this setting on GoPro didn't have the desired effect (of activating the campaign liveness check for code entry)...
